An upgrade of our ARPES system has been granted by the FZJ Board of Directors! We will have a new scanning lens, a 6 eV cw laser, and a 5K manipulator.

Two joint projects have been granted by the FZJ Board of Directors! Our group will have 2 additional PhD students starting in 2018 (joint with theory and quantum transport groups in Juelich).
One project (together with theory) is on antiferromagnetic spin dynamics.
Second project (together with quantum transport) is on transport and spectroscopy on novel topological phases.

Our setup has been upgraded with a 6 eV laser-based setup (using Ti-Sa oscillator) which allows high resolution ARPES and spinARPES studies with light polarization control.
